Receivit is a business tool that lets receiving businesses ("customers") record proof of what was delivered to them. This policy covers information about: our customers and their staff (office users and drivers) who hold accounts; and people whose details appear in a delivery record (for example a supplier or carrier named on a docket, or a person who signs for a delivery). Our customers are responsible for how they use Receivit and for the information they enter.
We do not deliberately collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act). A signature is collected only as delivery evidence, with the knowledge of the person signing.
We collect most information directly from you when you sign in and use the app. Delivery evidence is collected when a user captures a delivery. Technical data is collected automatically by our servers. Where practicable we collect personal information only from the individual concerned; our customers are responsible for informing their own staff, suppliers and recipients about the capture of photos, signatures and location.
We send email only for transactional/service reasons — one-time sign-in codes, delivery receipts you choose to send, and account or billing notices. We do not send marketing email.
We do not sell personal information.
Delivery records are hosted in Australia (Sydney). However, some of the service providers above process limited data outside Australia, including in the United States: Stripe (billing details), Google (a docket photograph, when you use the scan-a-docket feature, is sent to Google's Gemini AI to read the text), the push notification service of your browser or device, and our email provider. Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the APPs.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information and to destroy or de-identify it when no longer needed.
We keep delivery records for 7 years after capture, reflecting common Australian business-record retention periods, and we keep account information for as long as a customer's account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Encrypted backups are retained on a rolling schedule.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by contacting us below. A submitted delivery record cannot be silently edited; corrections are recorded as dated additions that sit alongside the original, so the evidence trail stays intact. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity.
We use a single session cookie to keep office users signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required.
If you think we have breached the APPs, contact us using the details below and we will investigate and respond, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
Receivit is a workplace tool and is not intended for or directed at children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its "last updated" date, is always available here.
